A Medicare claims review for families
You are helping a parent with Medicare and the statements do not add up. We go through every claim with you, line by line, and write down what each one means, what was owed and why, and what the numbers say about the choices in front of you.
What you get
- Every claim, explained. Up to three years of Medicare claims in one spreadsheet: the service in plain English, what the provider billed, what Medicare approved and paid, and what you owed, with the reason beside each amount (deductible, coinsurance, a denial, a lab test that is always $0).
- The year-by-year picture. Premiums paid, what Medicare paid out, and what came out of pocket, side by side.
- A plan-comparison worksheet. If an Advantage plan or a supplement is on the table, a sheet where you type that plan's real copays and premium and see what the same three years would have cost under it.
- Denials and appeals, flagged. Any claim that was denied or billed in a way the rules do not support, with the page on this site that explains what to do.
- One hour on a video call to walk through it together, plus the written summary to keep and share with family.
What it costs
$349, flat. You pay after a short call confirms we can help, by card through a Stripe invoice. If the review does not tell you anything you did not already know, say so within seven days and we refund it.
What it is not
It is not insurance advice and we do not sell or recommend plans. ClaraCover is not an insurance agent, a licensed advisor, or a law firm. We explain the published rules and your own numbers so that you, or a licensed agent or a free SHIP counselor, can make the decision with the facts in hand. We never contact a provider, Medicare, or a plan on your behalf.
What we need from you
- The claims file from your parent's Medicare account (medicare.gov, then "Download my data"). We show you how on the call; it takes two minutes.
- The "My monthly premiums" page from the same account.
- Any bills or denial letters you are unsure about.
Do not email records. On the call we agree on how to share them. We keep them only until the review is delivered, then delete them, and we never share them with anyone.
Who this is for
Adult children and caregivers handling a parent's Medicare, people about to choose between Original Medicare and an Advantage plan and wanting to see their own numbers first, and anyone holding a bill they do not understand. It is not for billing offices; they have their own page.
ClaraCover is an independent publisher of Medicare coverage information operated by DFM USA LLC. It is not affiliated with Medicare, CMS, any insurer, or any provider. A claims review explains published Medicare rules and your own records; it is not medical, legal, insurance, or financial advice, and it does not recommend a plan.
